Welcome

My name is Thomas Pfau.  I worked for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) for 12 years mostly with VMS systems.  I was in Field Service for two years working on 11/780, 11/750, and PDP-11/70 systems and assorted peripherals.  I then transferred to Software Services where I was responsible for delivering projects on VMS and RSX-11M/M+ systems.

After leaving DEC, I have had several jobs.  Most of them have been focused on development on VMS.  Since 1981 I have only worked in two jobs totalling a little more than two years that did not involve VMS.

I have always enjoyed working on VMS.  I think it's a great software development platform.

A couple of years ago I bought this system.  It is an Alpha Personal Workstation with 1.5GB of RAM and about 110GB of disk. It's running OpenVMS V8.3 and the WASD V10.0 web server.

This server contains mostly OpenVMS related information.  For additional information about me, see my main website.
